Learning to Pray from the Prayers of the Bible

The idea of learning to pray by example comes from the teachings of Jesus Himself: at least two times during His earthly ministry, Jesus instructed His disciples with a model prayer, often called the "Lord's Prayer" (see Matthew 6 and Luke 11).  In this study, we use the model prayer as a topical outline and examine other prayers in the Bible offered by men and women who walked with God long before us, who "being dead still speak" (Hebrews 11:4).  We are never closer to God than when we spend time in worshipful prayer!

Answers for our Hope

In passages like Colossians 4:5-6 and I Peter 3:15-16, Christians are instructed to always be ready to answer questions about the gospel and converse about the hope that is available in Christ.  These questions and conversations can sometimes be daunting, so we are taking some time to study what the Bible teaches to help Christians prepare themselves to share the gospel with others.
