Learning to Pray from the Prayers of the Bible
The idea of learning to pray by example comes from the teachings of Jesus Himself: at least two times during His earthly ministry, Jesus instructed His disciples with a model prayer, often called the "Lord's Prayer" (see Matthew 6 and Luke 11).  In this study, we use the model prayer as a topical outline and examine other prayers in the Bible offered by men and women who walked with God long before us, who "being dead still speak" (Hebrews 11:4).
We are never closer to God than when we spend time in worshipful prayer!
"Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving..."

The Letter To The Hebrews
This textual study in the New Testament takes place on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 PM with the adults gathered together in the auditorium.  The New Testament epistle entitled
Hebrews is a defense of the superiority of Jesus Christ, and an exhortation to every Christian to look to Him as the "author and finisher of our faith."  We are currently using the study guide authored by Robert Harkrider as we work through this book, but will occasionally post supplemental material below.
"...let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith..."
